Signalling Problems

COST: Because the train was delayed I had to get the taxi to my destination.

The bus was on the timetable and I told them to come but we then had to wait 2 hours for a lift.

COST: I arrived very late for school.

Cancelled

COST: 07:08 cancelled because of on going engineering works so caught 07:18 instead but it was really over crowded. Train should have stopped at Stratford but they changed they mind half way. Arrived Stratford at 08:00am 40 mins late.

COST: Complete waste of my time

Engine failure.

COST: Missed strategic meeting.

One of the 2 engines broke down so we limped from Reading to Guildford and then they told us all it was going no further. Had to get the next one heading east to Redhill.

COST: Spent ages waiting for the train and then missed the connecting bus!!

COST: I missed valuable time with my family.

When I arrived at Betchworth at 6:15am all was darkness. There were no lights on at all - no info. screens operating, and no people - no announcements. The train didn't show up but some others went at walking pace through the station. I had to wait for 1 hour for the next train together with 1 other passenger. It was VERY COLD.

COST: I arrived 1 hour late at work.

Broken door

COST: We spent 2 hours on the runway.

COST: I met an old friend.

They said that the guard had not been able to get in owing to a traffic accident.

COST: I missed my own birthday party!!

The engineering works at Guildford over-ran.

COST: I won the Loto after trying my hand while waiting for the train - if I hadn't been delayed I wouldn't have won!!

COST: I was late for work.

Floods caused severe delays.

COST: The delay was great for me because I met someone new while I was hanging around waiting for the train.

COST: Spent 4 hours sitting in trains waiting for, what? They didn't tell us. I missed my son's concert that we had been looking forward to for ages. I was very sad.

Not operating

COST: Managed to pick up a contract due to competitor's CEO being stuck on train

COST: Missed a contract because our CEO was stuck on the train.

COST: I had to get the taxi home

All trains from Reading to Gatwick cancelled due to flooding at Ash.

COST: Had to stay the night in Reading at a hotel because there were no trains running.

COST: We were supposed to meet up to choose a wedding dress but because of the delay we have decided to call it off.

COST: I missed my daughter's end of term concert.

No guard so train cancelled.

COST: Missed an important development meeting.
